Returned items are processed for recycling with our recycling partner for material and thermal recovery. Processed raw materials such as metals and plastics are traded as commodities for use in new products by other organisations. This helps to reduce landfill and conserve valuable natural resources by keeping these raw materials in use.
In the 12-month period ending on 31st March 2023, the combined material and thermal recovery rate was 99.9%, as reported by our recycling partner.
